What is Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC?
As we age, our skin loses elasticity and collagen, resulting in deeper lines, folds, and lost volume in the mid-face. Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler that is very similar to Juvéderm® Ultra XC, only with a thicker formula that can fill in deeper lines and creases in the mid-face and add fuller volume to the lips. The hyaluronic acid draws moisture to the skin, plumping and rejuvenating your complexion.

Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC Candidates

The Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC Treatment
Your Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC treatment can take anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour, depending on the number of syringes needed. To begin, your injector will cleanse the skin and determine the areas to treat. Then, a small needle will be used to skillfully inject the filler into the designated areas. Because Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC contains lidocaine, this may feel like a small pinch but is very tolerable, and your injector may gently massage the treated areas to ensure the filler is evenly distributed.
What to Expect Following Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC
Following your Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC treatment, temporary side-effects may include swelling, tenderness, bruising, itching, or redness at the injection site. There is no downtime required after injection, so you can feel free to return to your regular daily activities. We do, however, recommend avoiding strenuous exercise and intense sun exposure for 24 hours to ensure proper healing. While some results are visible right away, they will continue to improve as swelling subsides, and results can last up to one year with optimal treatment.
